It is molded and sintered product with Samarium (Sm) and Cobalt (Co) as the major materials. It has an excellent magnetic properties next to Neodymium magnet.

Uses
is used for various areas including molds, automotive parts, shipbuilding materials, etc.
Features
- It has high thermal stability. (Curie point: over 700¡É)
- It has very high residual magnetic flux density (Br), coercivity (iHc), etc.
- It is expensive due to difficulty in securing raw material (small Co reserve).
- It has high residual magnetic flux density (Br), coercivity (iHc), etc.
- It has low processability and is processed by grinding using whetstone or diamond.
- It can be used without surface treatment (relatively high corrosion resistance compared to Nd-Fe-B magnets).
